The RM1200 is only a week away.

The pavement on the shoulders from Jasper toward Banff is a little
rough but the main road is smooth.
There are deep breaks (gaps) in the shoulder pavement running left and
right that have not been filled in with tar,
Some of the breaks are 3 or 4 inches wide.
I would advise riding on the side of the vehicle portion of the road
if the traffic permits.

I'll be one of the volunteers at the Lake Louise control and hope to
see you there to cheer you on.
I'll have a floor pump handy just in case you need it as well as spare tubes.
