Should I be concerned about ordering from "Caesar" down at bicyclewheels.com or should I go ahead with it. I'm looking at set of Weinmann dp18s. Will the spoke quality be fine? I am planning to take them to my local bike store and have them trued once I get them. My bike store quoted em about 350 to get a decent wheel setup which I can't afford. Should I go ahead and pull the trigger and order them?

I've got 2327 miles on my CXP22/Formula wheelset so far and I've not had them trued/looked at.
Go for it.

Why the cxp22 over the dp18? Will I really notice that much difference. Besides maybe the weight.

I just wanted Mavic rims, and knew nothing about Wienmann - nothing really solid to base my choice off (I'd been wanting Open Pros, but had to go budget).
I've never had Wienmann rims, so I've no personal testimony.
alot of people would/will say the mavic's over the weinmann's, but i like the deep section look of the dp18s personally.
There was a thread about this same thing a while back ... because of it I decided on the Mavic wheelset. I'm happy with it. I did not get them trued or anything after receiving them either. I'll get them trued when it's needed. I was in the same boat as you regarding the LBS. They basically quoted me 150 to 180 for a new rear wheel ... not mavic either.
cpx's are Heavy! better go with Deep v's, atleast they look way better.
