Does anyone know anything about this bike? A buddy of mine has it and I was thinking of taking it off his hands. He bought it new in 1987 for around $600. Were these decent bikes?

Nothing but ok,and the coponents were low end shimano 6 speed downtube index. Maybe $100 tops if it needs nothing.I have found better at thrift stores and garage sales for $50 or less.

I own one of those it is a nice bike a bit heavy but not horrible. I repainted it and ugpraded it to shimano 105 currently. Like Tommy said it is worth probably around $100.

I have one of these now... Came stock with downtube Shimano Exage Sport (probably the Sora, or Tiagra of it's day)
Probably worth around $100 unless in pristine condition... but even then not much more
I turned mine into a single speed :-)
