I'm thinking of getting my road bike painted Dekerf Emerald Green and pimping it out with Gold salsa seat collar, Gold King headset and Gold chainring bolts. (black chainrings) Funky or garish?

For those of you who were wondering. Yes I like blaxploitation flicks.

If you put some metal flake in the paint, gold spinner rims and a hat with a long feather sticking out of one side youll be the "A" #1 pimp daddy" on your block! :saweeet:

You forgot the platform shoes with the goldfish in the heel. Of course that will be some incredibly dizzy goldfish.

Of course to ride it, you must have an afro.

I've seen this colour (canadian spelling) on other bikes and from what I can tell it's a silver base with a candy green topcoat. I'm in the process of acquiring gold anodized parts right now and I've found out that Salsa gold and Chris king gold is slightly different. Hopefully the seat collar and headset will be far enough apart that you can't tell the difference. I do agree with Stacey that black chainrings aren't the best looking. However the only 110 mm rings I could find were black anodized. any suggestions?

I'd do the platform goldfish shoes only if I could screw speedplay cleats into them. As for the afro I can't grow one to save my life.

You're going to have to scrape up a purple, Eleganza, wide lapeled, bell-bottom suit, a matching green tie, and super-dark aviators to ride around on that bike. (along with the aforementioned hat with feather)

Whatever you do, do not go to the paint shop that 55/rad went to.

I used gold anodized nipples to make christmas ornaments last year and I still have enough left over to build a wheel. As for the fro, well I'm asian and can't grow one to save my life.

You can grow a fro--get your hair long enough then go for a perm. :p
