Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - CS Legnth

I was wondering how big a differnce CS legnth makes on a fixed gear ride, I mean on my BMX ride I keep my rear wheel slammed for a shorter CS, anyone out there notice a difference or have a preference. I have also seen cut CS braces for the purpose of shortening the rear end, thoughts?

Shorter CS length helps with the pop-up for real wheel stunts :)

Shorter chain stays mean a shorter wheelbase, makes for quicker steering.

Yeah, I completely understand what a shorter CS means, but I really want to know how much a difference it makes on a bike with 700c wheels, I mean on a bmx bike a 1/4'' makes a differnce but they have 6'' stays.

Once I had a "touring" (old Raleigh) frame and a "race" (old Bianchi) frame.
The difference was *huge* mainly due to the overall wheel base.

The touring bike (with long CS) was smooth and slow to turn, like driving a RV.
Where as the race bike was very nimble and zippy like a sports car.
I'm reiterating ...

I am not sure how I can quantify my remarks for practical usage.
CS geometry makes a big difference on 700c bikes; just like BMX.
I prefer shorter Chain stays, that's my experience.
