There are several BF riders going on this ride, come along if you can! We can at least start the ride together. I will be driving a cypress green plymouth grand voyager (2000) with luggage rack and missing a front left wheel cover, meet by my car if you can find it. If you need details about the ride, go to the Medina County Bicycle Club web site, Hope to see ya all there! DAN

Silver Ford Ranger with hitch rack, xUSMCx plates. Cheri's white Giant OCR with pink bar tape, saddle, bottle cages and kitty handlebar bag is hard to miss. I'm on a red Salsa and I'll probably wear my USMC jersey, since it would be a fashion foopah to wear the Poseur jersey in front of the same people twice in a row.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to ride but I'll be one of the guys providing sag support. Stop by and say hello. Just look for the Century Cycles van. The weather looks like it's going to be nice for once. See you all there.

I ain't getting anywhere near you Medina store pansies. Derrick, Brent, Gary and Kevin would disown me and make me hang out someplace else at lunch. :p :D

Is Scott gonna ride it or work it or ditch it?

You're in my house now, Chip! We ain't so bad once you get to know us. Besides, what happens in Medina, stays in Medina. Scott is going to ride. The 42 mi route I think.

Always nice to see you Chip and Cheri. Pleasure to meet you as well Bikejunkie. Awesome route except for the road conditions. Lots and Lots of chip seal and just plain ole gravel. Looking forward to doing the ride again next year.

Great ride today, for those who thought about it you missed out, for those who could make it due to other commitments, keep it in mind for next year.

The burgers where scrumptious and the ice cream plentiful. Lots of great screnery.

sorry about the roads Gary, welcome to Ohio in july, tar and chip season is in full swing.

Chip, only a true stud (or someone with a large caliber weapon) could like such a beautiful machine.

You the man!

loooooks like fun. I felt so left out today, that I had to get some ice-cream- after my subs, steak, ribs, fries, etc.

It was a nice ride, but the pace was too much for Cheri to handle for 65 miles and she went OTB at about mile 13. I looked at my computer and we had been maintaining a 19mph average to that point. We ended up with 17.5 for the entire ride...which is about right for her. She was apologizing to me for the entire ride for 'holding me back', but I told her that I was getting winded myself trying to keep up with Dan and take my turns pulling. She felt better at the second stop when the folks there told her she was only the second woman to come through (Dan's wife was the first we figured) and that only about a dozen riders had come through ahead of us. At the end I pointed out that from the first stop on, no other riders passed us and that, after all, this was her first metric of the year...so she felt much better. Of course she was toast for the rest of the day.

I won my one and only stealth sprint with Gary...it pays to not let your opponent know it is a sprint until you are blowing by him only 20 yards from the line that you just picked. :D

Cheri did wonderful. That was not an easy metric by any means. Between the hills and the road conditions she did great just to finish!!!! I wish I had a pic of her in her pink kit on that pink bike. She definitely won the style race

Hills? There were hills?

Did anyone else get a rude surprise on the second leg, when making that left on to Britton road? Holy crap, it didn't look like much of anything, but it was like turning into a wall. Must have been a combination of the wind and a deceptive grade, I dunno, but it was the only point in the entire route where I actually had to drop to the 34 ring.

Chip, Tell your better half that she did great, that was one he## of a pace we set right out of the box, we need to set a neutral zone on our rides so everyone can warm-up before the hammer drops.

Britton road is a shock, but it good we didn't go up ruff, it's even worst. I least that's what I think.

Chip, it's rare to meet a man so confident in his masculinity that he can rock a pink bike.....:thumb: Cheri, you got a good one here!

We were hosting my son's graduation party Sat, but I will put this one on the calendar for next year, biking and ice cream are two of my favorite things!
