I have entered the ironman event in Louisville for next month (August 31st) and am looking forward to it. However, I have a problem about a bike. At the moment I am cycle-touring and have been for the past 15 months (I have a site at www.bishandjohn.com) so the bike I have in the states with me is a Dawes Ultra Galaxy, which is lovely but really not what I want to be riding in the ironman. I am from England originally and that is where my racer is. It looks like getting my bike out for the event will be quite tricky and so I am trying to find one I can hire/borrow for the event. I have started calling the biek shops in Louisville about maybe borrowing a demo for the day but so far have had no luck. Does anyone have any ideas? Or know of someone who might be willing to lend a bike? I should add that I am 6'3" and so usually require a large frame (about 58cm). If anyone can help then I would be most grateful as I really don't want to resort to doing the distance on my tourer! Thanks,
