Hey,
So I got into the whole track bike phase for awhile. Bought a few entry level bikes, and soon built up a full NJS stamped track bike. Of course.. I never went to the track, the bike was nothing more than for riding around town and going on long rides on the weekends. My friends got me into all this, but I could honestly never seem myself going to the velodrome.

Cyclocross always seemed like a really fun thing to do and I'm pretty set on selling my track bike to get a decent CX bike. I still love riding fixed and would mostly be riding around town and what not, but I would eventually like to participate in a CX race one day running SS.

That being said, are their any other frames comparable to the Rob Roy in the same price range?

I'll be selling my bike, but a majority of it will be for veterinary bills. So I'm on a bit of a budget..

The Bianchi San Jose is very comparable, but comes as a complete bike.

Surly Cross Check, just ignore the geard options.

On One Il Pompino.

All nice bikes.

Another option, although it will be a complete bike, is the Motobecane single speed cross bike they having coming out. I think they said it would be 450 shipped, if you can wait it might be worth checking out. The cross check costs that much just for the frame and fork. I know I am anxiously awaiting to pick one up.
