I am currently designing a touring bike based on the Surly LHT frame and Velocity Dyad rims (48/40 spoke configurations). I am trying to determine what range of tire sizes I can use on the 700c Dyad rims.
The Velocity site provides the outer rim width as 24 mm; does anyone know the inner rim width dimension as this will determine the range of tires sizes that fit?
TIA for any info/advice - I'm hoping to order the parts for this bike from my LBS in a couple of weeks.

Roughly 19mm. See bottom of this page:

Answer: 28 to 44mm. I used a 1.85" 29er tire with no rim problems. Of course, you also need to consider what width of tire will comfortably fit your frame - especially the rear tire.....

Thanks - I had located Sheldon's sizing chart but could not find the inner rim width and Velocity did not respond.
How did you find the 19mm value?
