Someone else asked this a while ago and there weren't too many responses, so I'll pose the question again. I'm looking for a good, somewhat light or average weight rim that is black in color (all black, ie - black sidewalls too) in 26" flavor that could accept 1 to 1.5" tires... that aren't disc specific - so that one could use V-brakes..... any suggestions? anyone? anyone? Thanks!

The problem with your question is that any rims designed for rim brakes will/should be machined on the braking surface, and will be unfinished aluminum. The only way to get a black rim is to use a disc specific rim. There are ceramic coated rims for rim brakes, but I have no experience with them and don't even know what color they are.

Yeah , I know. That's why I said will/should. Even if they aren't, they will quickly be worn thru the ano to bare aluminum by the brakes.
