I am well on my way to London 2012.

I heard something like that earlier in the week, and they were putting the road sprinters at 1300-1500, which I suspect is more than a little on the low side.

Track sprinters do ~2300 (as reported elsewhere by Jamie Staff) but only *very* briefly, typically on standing starts in the kilo.
