No, SE PA but I've done some rides down there. The Delaware Double Cross and "Bike the Pike".

Are you really asking if anyone will admit it? :D

Delaware -- by choice. And damn proud of it!

Hey triathlete, I'm just north of you, in Middletown. I did 28 miles today, including the requisite stop at Helen's Sausage House in Smyrna.

I would love to hook up. Would you like a riding partner? How fast do you ride?

Dover here but hardly one that could keep up with a triathlete. Haven't ridden for a few weeks now the weather is just a bit too cold and windy to suit me.

Harrington here. There are group rides in the Dover area run by the Delaware Striders & Riders. They have rides for different abilities and are a fun group.

Helen's Sausage House. A fine Delaware institution!

I work at POLYTECH. Would you like to ride in the afternoon?

I am a tax preparer. My daytime riding is very limited until after April 15. After that, I'd be very interested. In the meantime, you might want to meet with the group I mentioned above. There is a ride that starts from the Postlewaite Middle School in Magnolia every Wednesday, at 3:30PM. They welcome all riders. They ride about 25 miles at a pace of 16-18mph.

After Daylight Savings Time kicks in, there is a ride that starts from Wyoming Park at 5:30PM every Thursday.

They also do a Saturday morning ride that starts from Kent General Hospital in Dover.

How fast do I ride? You think I'm going to answer that question in a public forum, to someone who goes by the name "Triathlete"?

But feel free to tell us how fast YOU ride (here or via private message). Then we can talk. :D

I live in North Wilmington, right near the PA border. There's some beautiful riding in and around the Brandywine Valley. Check it out sometime! Quite a bit hillier than Doublecross country.

Okay, I guess I have to put my fitness on the line. Long ride (25 miles or more) I average 16mph. Short ride 18mph. This is given the weather is good. I'm not great, but I love riding.

Join the bike club I posted a link for. They have rides for everyone's level. It's an incredibly friendly group of people.

I live in North Wilmington and just ride north into PA for some good hills. Southern Delaware is about as flat as it gets though.

Trekbikedude, you must live right near my parents house (Westgate Farms, off Loveville Road). Let me know if you'd be up for a ride sometime.
