He's currently 28 points behind Oscar Freire. Will Cavendish get the green?

I prefer my tickets extraordinary. Cavendish likely does as well.

I think you have to complete the Tour to keep a jersey.

I have never seen an overly extravagant plane ticket so both ;)

My guess is that he abandons during the Alps, so he has some legs left. He and Brad Wiggins are favored in the Madison, and I'll bet an Oly gold is on his list of to-do this year.

Does Isle of Mann have their own seperate Olympic team or is it merged with UK, or has Cavendish changed his citizenship?

BTW, I hear one reference to Cavendish as Scottish- what's with that-ancestral, parent, or something else?

He'd ride as part of the British team, as a resident of the Isle is legally a citizen of the UK. On the other hand, calling him a Scotsman is not exactly something that would be appreciated by a Manxman. Not as big a blunder as calling an Irishman English, but not that far behind in second place.

Doubt it. Cavendish did say he was going to drop out soon so he can train properly and be physically fresh/recovered for the Olympics, where his team are favorites for the gold.
