I want to sell my bike. It's just been sitting around in my garage lately, and every time I pick it up, I just get bored with it. I fall apart too easily and don't have the time for it anymore and the cost of a car and car insurance is about to hit me. So, I guess, goodbye, BMX, it was nice knowing you.

Yeah, I guess I'll still mod for a bit. I don't know what to sell it for, and I never got around to buying Plegs. I always wanted them, but never got a chance to order them.

Do you have a job, because a few weeks working and you can easily buy a new bike again. Maybee your just bored of where you ride? Because once you have a car, you can ride alot of new spots...
Yeah i agree with abolwer10154

Yeah, I have a job but I just have no time for my bike and I get hurt enough as it is. I'm going to the doctor soon so he can hopefully prescribe an MRI on my shoulder so I can see how messed up it is, which may lead to another surgery. Plus, I can't get hurt again for baseball, and I'm going away for college anyway and won't be able to bring my bike. So, I might as well get some money for it now.

A lot of kids in college ride a bike cause parking is terrible. At least that's what it is like at Penn State.

Im just woundering, are you trying to go pro in baseball?. Because if you are, then I can kind of understand that its either one or the other and you chose baseball.

Yes, but my body keeps falling apart on me, and riding a bike doesn't make it any better.

Well, that kind of stinks, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with your car and college.

Let him go. Apparently, his parents are rich enough to pay his way for college and I think it is a lame excuse for selling his bike. Look at the cars in the background. He will be getting involve with those drinking parties, frats and sororities before you know it.

My family is in no way rich, I don't have a car, and my parents aren't paying for my college at all because they don't have enough money.

In any case Id like to see whatever car you get air a 10 foot vert. :P Cuz I seriously dont see how someone can just stop riding... even if things seem down/boring/whatever every single person I know personally who rides ALWAYS aches for it again eventually. I'd say let the thing sit, put in some overtime at work or something to make up for the difference, because you'll lose money if u do buy another bike in the future. Good luck with whatever you do in life though. Picked out a major for college yet?

Ugh, just let him go guys. He can make his own decisions, and if he doesn't want to BMX anymore, then don't hassle him.
He's occupied with other things. College, transportation (for me it's bikes, but I live in the city. He obviously needs a car), and finances are way more important than bikes. If it came down to it and I was out of money, I'd sell my bikes too. They're a hobby, not a way of life for me. When things get better I'd come back to it.
That said I love biking and at the moment I'm leeching off my parents.
