Did a bunch of hill repeats on Kings Mountain today. Almost didn't do it, since I didn't get home yesterday until 12 am, but glad I did. Biggest surprise was I was fine with 11/23 cassette (I do have compact). Last time I did hill intervals there I needed 12/27. Descending was so much fun. I really really sucked at it earlier in the year, but I guess all the crits brought back the skills I lost last year. :D
Some misc notes. Received a compliment from someone who was also climbing it. That was kool. Saw a guy in NorCal BF jersey. He was riding as part of the group, and just starting the climb. Made me wish I chose to wear it instead of UCI one. On the way back some dude passed me and commented "So you can't hear a thing?" Umm, I could hear him. I was almost back to my car so just put it under "Don't give a ****" category and didn't try to catch up to ask what he meant.
In case a dude is reading, sorry I kind of cut conversation short about Ridley bikes, but I had to start the interval.
Anyway no real point to this post, just had a very good day. :D
