...on craigslist (http://chambana.craigslist.org/bik/757503270.html). I'll be going to see it in a couple of days. They want $350 and say it is in good condition.

I am asking for your collective wisdom. $350 seems high, what would you pay for a stock T-700 in good shape? Also, I am 6'2", will at 52c frame fit? I am a bit confused on their frame sizing. I thought the T-700 sizing was in inches (at least that's how the 85 catalog (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/1985/pages/17-bridgestone-t-700.html) puts it).

Any advice guys? Thanks!

52cm is way way too small. generally a 52cm frame would fit someone under 5'5" or so.

Forget about it. This frame size not even close. If you were 5-6, maybe.

While back then frame sizes may well have been in inches, I bet the seller converted it to cms, as that is what today's buyers expect on a road bike.

I just took a quick look at C/L in your area. Wow, the bikes are selling for top dollar up there

Thanks Bill! Yeah, that particular seller likes to price high (hence the OP, I was hoping for a good haggling price point). Cycling is picking up here in Chambana, and it is typically hard to get decent deals here in town.

Hey, some of us have short legs, but aren't shrimps. A 52 cm comes close to being just right for me at 5'9". It all depends on the person. Still too small for the OP.

'85 Bridgestone T-700 is best touring bike Bridgestone ever made in my opinion. I own two of them. I'm 5'7" with short legs and 52 cm is what fits me. Frank at 6'2" I would think you would take closer to a 63 cm or a 25" frame.

At $350 it's a little high. But then prices are going up. I bought one new in 85' and then I picked one up last year in like new condition for $185 with a full set of panniers. I had to drive 300 miles one way to get it for that price. Next door in Portland, OR nice Bridgestones seem to only last one or two hours on craigslist when priced at under $200.
