Passed a group of 3 guys on my way to Enoshima. Definitely Keirin racers. Here are a couple of photos (sorry, cell phone camera was all I had with me).

As you can see, each biker is pulling an automobile tire tied to the seatpost with a length of rope. After I snapped the photos, one guy took off in a sprint :)
