Southern California - Rides Kept Secret From General SoCal Population

Just found out today about the existence of the "Secret Leaky Fountain Forum Rides Society" Faces have been 'balckbarred' in order to protect their identities. I happened to stumble upon this secret ride society at the start of our ride today. I'd have to say the members were quite surprised to see me at the secret meeting location. Although I had been tipped off by another forum member.

Gina and I started our ride but not long after we were chased down by the secret society. We were offered two spaces in the secret paceline as a hush-hush. But being the man of honor that I am, I felt the need to refuse. It is more improtant to me to remain faithful to SoCal BF'er while bringing this injustice to their attention. That and I didn't feel like being punished by Lennys sprints and accelerations. Oops, did I say "Lenny"?

Well I will not disclose info on their identities but I thought you, the BF General Population should know of their existence. I thought the forum ride posting had been lacking lately!:mad:

Wandervogel, (Hugh Murphy), sold out years ago to Planet Ultra/Adventure Corps. More recently, Planet Ultra and Adventure Corps split into different, competing organizations. Don't know if there are any undercover rides anymore.

If you want to join us, we are holding our rides on the 6th Saturday of each month. But don't tell anyone else. :thumb:

It was good seeing you and Gina on the trail. You should have taken the two spaces offered to you and Gina because we had a nice and comfortable ride back to the Leaky fountain.
What is this Lenny's sprint and acceleration stuff? I can sprint up to 15MPH and not sure if I can pass anyone at this speed. I am in training and hopefully one day, I can sprint up to 16MPH.

My buddy Lee says you dropped him like a hot potato so I was worried about Gina keeping the pace or slowing you guys down. But after a few minutes, I remembered you had the rehab dude with you guys. Then figured maybe it might not have been too bad on Gina....See how I keep throwing Gina's name in there?:roflmao2:

My bad, thought you had just started! Well you guys are the neatest cleanest bunch-o-riders I've seen. Not one of you looked dirty or sweaty like you had been riding. The dude without the helmet looks like he's ready for a GQ mag photoshoot! Atleast mess up the hair!:D

That's Brad and he is the one who got hit by the car two years ago and I bet that if you ask him he wouldn't agree with your assessment!!!:) I have no doubt that he'll be kicking our butts again in a couple of months though, that was just his third ride since his last surgery to remove some of the Titanium from his leg.

More like 15 instead of 45 MPH because I don't even have the leg power to get up to 45MPH on the downhill(coming down from Mt. Baldy via GMR). I did not drop your buddy Lee like a hot potato because he was with me the whole way until I bailed out at the Leaky fountain.
