I was curious if you could convert a free wheel hub into a coaster brake?
I am looking into a complete deep v wheel set with a flip flop hub in the rear wheel, im keen on coaster brakes, so i was told that I could convert the free wheel side into coaster brake.

just curious how I would do that & what parts i would need to order..

[want to find out before i drop the cash for the wheel set, i dont want to have to switch out the hubs, would rather build it custom if i was gonna have to in the end]

THANK YOU!!

Coaster brakes have unique parts internally that allow them to lock up. I believe you could go from coaster to freewheel with mild hacking, but not the other way around.

you know, thats what I was thinking..
I have a coaster brake road bike now.. and I thought he was blowing hot air when he was talking about that...
I know I'm a chick [who is only a couple years into single speeds] but i was questioning his reasoning.

thank you though ;)
