Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Dura Ace 7600 Hubs with 130mm Spacing?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have some Dura Ace 7600 track hubs and want to use then with a frame that is 130mm rearspaced. Is it possible to space these hubs out for a 130mm frame? Or if they won't quite reach, can i just clamp the frame in to make it fit Smiley
Its a steel frame.

I wouldn't clamp a 130 frame down to 120mm

you can clamp down steel, but if it's going to be a somewhat permanent use of the frame, you'd be better off cold-setting it down to 120.
or, yes, you can respace the DA hubs. in order to respace the hub, you can add 5mm of spacers to each side, between the cone and the locknut. you might need a longer axle, since my experience with DA hubs is that they don't have much add'l axle to work with, at all.

Use spacers. There should be enough bolt length to clamp down the nuts.
no issues.... using DA hubs on my jamie roy.
jsut use some spacers. but the axle length is jsut right with spacers + a chain tensioner.
Thanks for that, i'll space it out as far as I can and then clamp the rest if needed.
