i have heard someone esay on this forum that underinflation causes punctures.

should i get one of those automatic foot pumps to pump the tires ?

I'd suggest a decent floor pump with an accurate gauge. It only takes a couple of pumps to take a 700x23 tire from 80lbs to 110lbs.
