I got the saltiest look from a couple of Shriners this morning!

I was driving (sorry, I needed the cargo space) home after running some errands, and was waiting at a light behing a guy turning left. When the light changed, he nudged forward and I scooted around him, right into the path of a car turning left from the opposite direction. I had the right of way, but the men in the car seemed none too pleased that I was in their way. They didn't honk or yell or anything, but they both gave me this stare-of-terror that I thought only my mother knew how to do. Boy, if looks could kill...

Now, I'm not positive they were Shriners, because they weren't driving one of those funny liitle Shriner cars that you see in parades, but they were both rather old, and they were wearing fezes. Now, I know I'm stereotyping here, but I really don't know how many old men get up to go for a morning drive and think, "Hmm, I think I'll wear the fez today." Heck, does anyone else even own a fez. I think they were Shriners. (not that there's anything wrong with that...)

Anyway, Shriners or not, I still think it was funny.

Good point. I never thought of this. Of course, on this same theme, maybe they were on their way to a production of Everybody Comes to Rick's (the play that Casablanca was based on). You never know.
