I used to bike everywhere as a kid/teen. Got into a nasty wreck going downhill on a hill with my Schwinn-Roadie ! [This is BEFORE we had MountainBikes !, circa 1986] so I lost my biking previleges.
The scars have healed, and I have found my excitement again in riding.
I am training every weekday to ride in a double-century, the famous TOSRV, in coming May. With the weather as cold here these days, :( we end up mostly riding in the gym until weather gets above freezing (45F is good enough). Giant OCR2, blue, Ultegra, is my horse. Nothing fancy.
So, by the grace of God, I hope to get in shape at my age, and do the double-century and make it back in one piece and have a little fun in the process. A few friends have joined me to ride together at TOSRV - so look for me there. I will have the US-Flag jersey with a natural tan ;)
