I just received my shipment of 3, 12v 12ah batteries from Power-Cell Batteries. Great deal...$20.65 apeice. But they are a little wider than I'd hoped, and won't fit in my original location of hanging under the top tube. And they also are just slightly too wide for my trunk bag...unless I put them on their side. Or I can put them on the down tube, but they would be not be flat, but angled.
So my question is...do Sealed Lead Acid batteries have to be flat & level? Can they operate flat but angled? Can they operate on their sides? Would doing either kill them or shorten their lifespan? Or, you know, cause them to blow up or catch fire between my legs?
