Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - If we got stickers made.

Would they be purchased? If we get enough interest just maybee we can get this in the works.

People could make suggestions if we go through with this, the person makes the best suggestion on a designed could get the sticker for free. So basically we could hold a design the appearance of the sticker contest.

What kind of stickers? Got any pictures/graphics showing some ideas?

Hey, you can use cafepress.com. That's where I went to make my "Lance for prez" bumperstickers. You upload the artwork, they print, charge and distribute. Then you get a percentage back on every sale. I thought they turned out really well and if you promote well enough you can make some bucks. I don't work for the company or anything, just know alot of bike organizations that use them. They do all sorts of stuff, not just stickers.

That is indeed an option, all we would need is a design.

Just an opinion:
I think the artwork at the top of the page would work great. Just add a '.net' and 'presto-chango' ya gots yourself a sticker. Whoever the site designer is should be able to create a high resolution version for any printer.

I personally would not use CafePress as their prices are high, IMO.

I would be intrested in stickers, always put some on my bike. 2 RaceFace stickers, some 7 Sette ones. Would like a BikeForums.net one though.

I think stickers are a cool idea, the only problem is most of the time you have to make them in bulk (150+) and full color stickers can be quite pricey, however I would still purchase some to support the site if we had them made :)

Why not a design the sticker contest? Voted by members?
More apt to purchase if they specifically like one design.
Nothing wrong with the standard b-forums pic above, though should be lighter.
Also rectangular for bike tubes.

Announcement on when the stickers will be made and ready to be sent out will come sometime in the future.

I had a great collection of forum logo's used to make the jerseys. I'll see if i can pull them off my old HD.

hmmm...how about the clear backed stickers with white lettering? I'm thinking on a bike, for some it's a big color scheme thing.

Are you saying that a lot of people said "I am in" and you bought on your own dime expecting people to pay up? If thats the case, why not do a pre pay, then order the Jerseys'?

That is what my club does... they tell people that they want to order jerseys... people cough up the $65 or whatever it is.. when they have enough, they order them right up... I think places like Voler have a minimum order of 50...

I know that is the way I would conduct it. All to often do I see admins burned over ordering then collecting.
