looking at purchasing my first road bike been doing research, test riding if at all possible...im 6'4. hard to find 60cm frames to test ride. looking at possibly doing triathlons next year, but for now commuting to work (16 mile on way) and riding for fun are the main purposes.
looked at the Allez, Giant TCR's, Scott S30, and the Cannondale CAAD8/9's
giant's are to small...
liked the Scott, but test road a Cannondale Caad8 spec'd w/ veloce and man was it nice...really liked the campy stuff too.:love: they are asking $1400 for it...I can get a new caad9 w/ 105 for $1200.
now I'm looking at getting a frameset and having it built up by GVH bikes, or the LBS. but apparently the lower end stuff of campy doesn't allow more than 1 gear down shifts?
