I am looking at getting a seatpost mounted rack for my fast bike. The bike has a carbon fiber WRAPPED seatpost not carbon fiber. You cannot use a actual carbon fiber post for a seatpost mounted bag but how about a wrapped one? It is just an aluminum post all dressed up to look fancy so I am assuming this would be ok...

I'm guessing you'd be OK. The better wrapped posts are a little bit lighter a typical alloy post because they use less aluminum. I don't know that they'd be any more or less likely to break.
