Introductions - Old 10 Speed Tech

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello: I worked my way through college in Chicago as a Raleigh tech with plenty of Schwinn Chicago and Motobecaine as well as Legano, Windsor, Cinelli, Bob Jacson, Colnago, and many others. I have kept current and have worked as a part time tech for many years, off and on. Now I am a mountian biker and commuter in Salt Lake City.

Hi raleightech73 and welcome to the show! I am a newbie also (oldtimer newbie) and have really been enjoying this forum. You may be able to help me with my recent Ebay find. So far I haven't been able to find out much about it. It's a Raleigh Grand Prix (probably mid 90's). If you have time will you look at my post in the "Introductions", it's about 24 down from yours. ( Old Timer Newbie from NW Louisiana, 650savag). Can you offer any info on the Raleigh? I thought since you have worked on them you may have some experience with the 90 modls? There is a lot of info on the 70's and 80's models but nothing after the late 80's. Thanks, Dan
