Introductions - Hi from Toronto

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.
I'm relatively new to biking. I mean, I've biked lots in the past, but nothing serious. I used to do lots of spin class, lol. Have done one trip with Backroads in Provence (very hilly!).
But with the way gas prices are going...I'm wanting to hone up my bike skills and also improve and maintain health at the same time. So here I am.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome mmills,
What part of Toronto are you located? What kind of bike do you own and what kind of biking are you planning on doing?
There are many people on the BF from the Toronto area so I hope we can help you back into a cycling.
Happy touring!

Thanks!!
I have a Trek 7500, but currently I am riding my Pashley Princess Sovereign (LOVE it!).
I am hoping to get together with some TO riders (not racers, just casual riders!) but am not sure where to start. Please feel free to give me advice! :)

You can try posting on the Eastern Canada forum, there is a lot of chat there from the Toronto area. You could also search the BF for Toronto rides. Also you could check out the Toronto Bicycling Network.

Always nice to see people here from Toronto
The Pashley is a very cool bike, my girlfriend grew up in Holland and she's always going on about bikes like that, it seems everyone there has one similar
May i recomend you take a ride down to the beaches during the weekday? It's a great ride if you're not riding in a group, i've been doing it all last week and i'm loving it. You hardly get any people on the path by the boardwalk Monday to Friday
