So I still have the green cowbell (given out by Palo Alto Bicycles) from when I watched the 2008 Tour of California in Palo Alto. It's been sitting inside the armrest of my car and I just saw it today (yeah, I know, I should clean my car just as frequent as I clean my bike).

I thought of tossing it, but then I am wondering: what if I were to ring the cowbell every time I drive past by cyclists on the road, to the extent I don't swerve while ringing said bell? Would they appreciate it? I know I would, but every cyclist is different. So, when you ride down Foothill, would you appreciate some car driving past by with cowbell ringing from the driver's side?

Unfortunately, this cowbell is not large enough and has one of those hanging thingie inside that rings the bell; otherwise, I'd be exploring the bike lane space with more cowbell.

I bring you back to my original question: would you be distracted and annoyed if a car passes you by, while you are riding, and you hear cowbell coming from the car?

No.. but I would honestly think "Why does that dude drive around with a cowbell in his car"
