I bought the Profile design tape to wrap my new bars. The owner of the LBS recommended it saying that they had done countless tape jobs and would put on whatever tape the customer wanted but that it was the cheapest tape they had and the favourite of the guys in the shop. I bought the splash tape in yellow and black to match a yellow black and silver frame.

I was dreading doing the job but had a blast and wouldnt hesitate to do it again. I found the ParkTool site had an excellent tutorial.

Of course, when the snow melts and I get out for my first ride and I watch the tape trail behind me like the streamers on my little sisters bike when I was growing up...... nahhhh, it won't happen.

I had a quick look online and pretty well everyone from Colorado Cyclist to Nashbar carries it.

I've used Deda and Cinelli tape, they're both great. To be honest I don't think there's much in it, unless you go for those fancy extra-padded tapes.
