I keep a list of bike shops I visit in person in the Los Angeles area. I also keep a list of bike shops I mail order from all over the country. I look for shops that cater to the serious cyclist that is more European-regular clothing with internal hub drive trains-in cycling style with Dahons and/or Bromptons in stock. Thor USA is bookmarked and very high on that list.
