I saw one of the other threads mentioned this, I think Machka might have said something about it? But does anything have any good recipes they would like to share? Thanks.

Machka doesn't cook ... Machka posts on the cooking-free tour threads. :D

I'm the one who advocates the virtues of things like:

-- raw veggies
-- raw fruit
-- buns with cheese and cold meat
-- yogurt, puddings, etc.
-- crackers and cheese
-- granola bars, cereal bars, etc.
-- cookies
-- pastries

And stuff like that. :D

Here is the site for Freezer Bag cooking and there are many recipes posted there for every meal of the day.

Freezer bag cooking is great, particularly if your touring partners have different food tastes or you're touring with kids. Most of the recipes are very good, but you can always adjust seasonings and ingredients to suite your tastes (or what you have available). On the same site you can check out her blog which often includes updates on new food finds or recipes.

I did one on a hike to Mt Langley (a CA 14er) a few years ago. It was like a Thanksgiving meal. Instant stuffing, canned turkey, instant cranberry sauce. Killer!
