Introductions - Lurking long enough

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi to all. It's about time to lurk no more! I don't ride a bunch now, but I have in the past. Mostly, I enjoy long distance touring plus in the past I commuted to work. My bike and I have seen more than a couple of places in the US and Canada along with a bit of Mexico. I worn out three Brooks Pro saddles and just can't find any saddle that can come close in comfort.
Also I enjoy a good read of other's touring activities.

Hi! wellshorton. Welcome to the forums. Hope you share some of your anecdotes with us about Touring Forum.
If your last name is Horton, do you have any family in Orange County?

My touring done in the 70's and 80's. The 90's brought kids!
I've managed to ride in all but Newfoundland and PEI. Some of my best and worst touring experiences were in Canada. Parts of the Trans Canada were a bit to traveled by cars and trucks.
One fun ride was an abandon BC Railway right of way from Dease Lake, BC southeastward.
