Yes! I'm buying a new belt tonight. I've been on the last notch of my current belt for a couple weeks and my pants are starting to sag a little. Getting to the last notch on this one gave me a sense of accomplishment for a while but it's time to move on. A new belt will give me notches to work towards too; small goals right? Thanks for all the support/inspiration this site has given me. You all have been a big motivator and I really appreciate it.

Personally, I always enjoyed shrinking my belts by cutting the end off and making new holes. It always gave me that "irrevocable" feeling. ;)

It is a great feeling, isn't it.:thumb: I went to reach for one more hole yesterday morning, and it was not there. The great thing is I am currently wearing an old belt that I outgrew 7 years ago. When I started losing weight in January it would not even touch, much less get to a hole.

My favorite belt is one that I have trimmed a full 30" off the end in addition to completely new holes.

Nice work! I am coming up right behind, as I am on the last notch of mine as well-moved here about 1 week ago. Now, I will break out the leather punch, since I like the belt, but I will need a new one as well, to document the achievement!

Congrats!

Oh, and Tom S- DAMN!!!! I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!

wow Tom, talk about "the will to power", you're a true ubermensch...

I may go ahead and punch a new hole, by the time I get back from my ride most stores worth buying a belt from will be closed; I don't want to support wal-mart...

Several years ago I put 3 new holes in my belt, spaced an inch apart. Then I got back on the buffet wagon again and didn't need them.

I've been back into the first one for a month or so. Two to go!

i still have the same belt on that i was wearing when my waist was at 44+ inches ... now i am at 39 and almost to a 38 ... i just punch more holes in it as i go ...

when people ask what i have lost .. i whip the belt out and show em the notches .. and you can see on it, where i used to have to fasten it.

I still have my size 56 belt. It 'stretched' to a 60. Now it works for my 46 waist, thanks to all the extra holes I punched in it.
