I decided to try out a pair of PI Attack cycling socks. Their largest size (L) state they are for shoe size 10+. I wear 11.5. The socks are pretty difficult to put on, and when I have them on, I can nearly see my heel through the fabric. Is this some feature of cycling socks (for venting), or should I return them?

I wear an 11 in shoe size. Some brands fit well and some don't. I prefer Air-E-aetors by De Feet:D

I've never liked PI socks. They seem to lose the elasticity, baggy socks yuck!

I order some PI attack socks a couple weeks ago. I order Large and I wear a 13 shoe. I can see my heel through the fabric too but why would that matter? They aren't traditional socks so I figure they don't have to live up to traditional sock standards. I've ridden with them about quite a bit and every time my feet have felt much better than after riding in normal socks. Wore them during a metric over the weekend and my feet felt fine. I haven't had any issues with my socks, I wouldn't return them if I were you.

BTW, I go for the solid black now with the little logo. I gave up on flags and rubber ducky designs. Duckies look like they are "Hills Have Eyes" clan when stretcehd too far!:roflmao2:

I'm assuming it suggests that they would wear through the heel too easily.

Thanks for the feedback, that's encouraging news.

I noticed the same thing. I wear a 13 and had to stretch them pretty thin to get them on.
I also am a new convert, and big fan, of the DeFeet AirEator socks. They come in a XL and fit great.
