Thinking of doing the full tour up there either the 2nd or 3rd saturday of next month. Anyone interested?

Ride will be about 19 miles and 2600 feet of downhill. Ride woods to chuola to top fire road, down rock it, back up chuola to top of the world then down mathese to parking lot.

Parking is 3 bucks I think.

Saturday Aug 16 @ 8am.

up cholla ( yes again)
to top o' the world
Meadows down ( meadows is a fun down with switchbacks.) ( this is the change)
I think your right, it will be about 15+ miles with around 2500' of elev gain.

Le me know and I'll join you.

I went SRAM X9 for my green bike SOOO in love with the shifting over crappymono err shimano.
I got the shifters, rear D, chain, cassette for a lil over 200. Well worth it too.

I've been riding X9 for awhile now. It works great even when its covered in muck. Good choice!

the best is the crowd of people waiting at the bottom of cholla and trying to prolong the start of the climb

Today I did a ride similar to this.
Except after going down Rock-It went up Mathis. ( instead of Cholla 2x)

Great ride, had a blast and my arms were burnin'......
It wil be good to see everyone again!

Just moved to the area a couple months ago...mind if I join you guys? Not looking for any crazy downhill stuff, but I've ridden the SART, Marshall Canyon, and Southridge (the XC course), so something similar would be great.

This is Rock-It...

me on the trails (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1arh8skqHo)

a better view (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkFGXON7CxM&feature=related) and my fall is at 3:49 in this video.

The trail does not have as many rain ruts as in in extorts second video, and there is
now a P-line on the right side of Rock-It.

Jeff come on out and join us! should be a nice ride, and we leave no-one behind..

well, almost no -one, there was that one time....:innocent:

if you rode fine on the southridge course this will be fun for you. Not as much sand and powder like southridge but faster and flowy like this single tracks up there.

No drop ride is correct, well minus the the last trip had 25 people and one made a wrong turn somehow but was found after the second time back up Chola. I only have my hardtail now so I can't bomb the DH like in the past:crash:

I'll ride solo if no one else shows, but company is always nice:thumb: If I have the legs left I might make this trip a double header and ride STT afterwards:D

We will be meeting here, bring 3 bucks for parking, in quarters or dollars.
PM me if you need directions. Should be about a 45min + drive from Calremont.

Aliso-Woods wilderness park.
