That's $78 for one pannier. I think this Ortlieb is a superior pannier (http://www.thetouringstore.com/ORTLIEB/Ort%20PANNIERS/SPC/SPC%20PAGE.htm) and the price for a set is the same.

I generally love MEC, but I've owned their panniers and my GF has a set of their best panniers - Ortliebs are nicer in just about every respect.

Yea, those Ortlieb's are sick. If I can afford the pair I will pick em up. They have a conversion kit to turn them into back packs, right?

If you can afford the MEC [$78 x 2 = $156] panniers the Ortliebs [$150 for the pair] are the same price and Wayne will ship them in the US for free.

They do have some sort of back pack system - no idea how or how well it works.

Yea, I wasn't looking for the pair though. Just that single for $78. I wish Ortlieb sold the single.

Ahhh...got it. In that case the MEC pannier makes sense. I should say they aren't bad at all and if you only need one that makes the Ortliebs expensive unless you can find someone else who only wants one pannier and sell the second Ortlieb.

Odd I followed the link and they don't have yellow which seems to be the classic Ortlieb colour. Or are these a different model from the standard? Looking for front and rear waterproof panniers although debating whether to replace all panniers with waterproof ones I like the access of more pockets on non waterproof kind. Are there any Ortliebs that have an outer non-waterproof pocket to say stick canisters of camp fuel into?
