Looks like the Ute will be getting some bigger panniers, And coming in two sizes; 18" and 20"

Looks better but still not a patch on the BD imho.

The '08 had the front disc too, still no disc tabs in back though. Definitely still not in the league of the BD, but it is half the price, and being produced in much bigger numbers.

Hah, yeah, maybe three sizes in 2010, four or five in 2011. anything smaller than the current size should probably have 26" wheels
That said, I think this is a very nice bike once you add those decent panniers. Right out of the shop, it's got the ability to carry a decent amount. I also think it's kind of a nice length, right in between a standard bike and an xtra.

Wit those panniers, it starts to become something I'd consider. The BD is out of my range, so til now, only an Xtra on an old bike has merited consideration,.
