Hi There!
Part of the reason i became a member of this forum is the fact that i wanted to know more about "Zieleman" bikes and i got a lot of info from this forum. I've always had a passion for bikes, racing bikes in particular. My father owned a RIH and gave it to me when he bought himself a gazelle dauphine. Unfortunately the RIH got stolen, hence my search for another vintage bike. Reading more about Zieleman ( mainly on this forum ), i decided i had to get one. A few days later i managed to find one on a dutch auction site ( mentioned before on the forum ). The person i bought from (for € 275,00 ) knew Ko Zieleman
and had the bike made especially made for him and told me a few nice anecdotes. He also gave me a few pictures of Ko Zieleman, holding the actual frame of the bike i bought. This i thought would be appreciated by some of the Zieleman fans on this forum. I've enclosed some pictures. The're not of great quality but i will post some better photo's if anyone likes to see them. Any tips on how to improve/change or restore the bike are welcome. I'm not sure for instance whether i should modernise the bike...anyways,
thanks for al the info so far and greetings from Holland!

Hello lavieclair, the Classic & Vintage forum would love to hear more about your Zieleman. They'd also like to see the photos :D .

Everytime we can expand the database on some of the less well known bikes, the better we can know the marque. You have a very cool story to go with your bike.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

exellent! my first reply! the nice thing about it is that, reading more about the dutch bikes on this forum made me appreciate more, the frame builders that we had ( maybe still have...) in Holland. Have you got some general tips for me when using the forum? when for instance i type in "zieleman"when i search on the forum i get a whole list of different threads, how do i decide which one to use or is it better to make a new thread? I'm new to the whole thing but i know it can **** people of when you start new threads when it's not necessary and all that....

Focus on the 'Zieleman' threads in Classic & Vintage. You can make your own thread in C & V if you'd like--you have a nice story with the photos, and others can join in with their own remarks and rememberances.
