At one time? Just 1. I haven't figured out how to ride 2 or three at a time.
Over the course of a give week, I'll likely ride two of my bikes, possibly 3, depending.
On road, group rides, by myself, or with my wife, I'll ride my Colnago.
On road, with my son, I ride my Bianchi (it's geared quite low, so I can ride slower).
Off road, my Gary Fisher.

At one time? <SNIP>
You beat me to it. When I read the header, that was the 1st thing that came to mind:lol:
Seriously though I have three bikes in my collection
- Gary Fisher Nirvanna (added rack, fenders, Shimano generator hub & B&M light... setup for commuting): This is my trusty steed that gets me through all weather year round.
- LeMond Buenos Aires: This is the "fun" bike and take on long rides, and also will use for commuting if the weather looks descent. I load up on drinks, and fresh cloths using the hybrid once a week so that I can ride the road bike and only need to pack a sandwich and two water bottles for my daily commute to work.
- Kent Tandem: This is for going on rides with my wife.
Happy riding,
André

I have three bikes, but ride my road bike most of the time. I use a mountain bike for short trips that it's not worth it to take a car for, like getting the mail (we have a community mail box system several blocks from my house), going to the barber, quick grocery store trips, etc.

Recreation ride on '07 Schwinn Le Tour GS (usually 3 days a week)
Commute on '77 Schwinn Le Tour III (usually 4 days a week)
Offroad or ride with my kids on '86 Diamondback Ascent (whenever the chance presents itself)

For fun I ride my 4300.
For commuting, my 4300
for errands, my 4300
So, I think that adds up to 1. :)
Hopefully, I will have an LHT, Crosscheck, or maybe Portland added sometime next year. For now, I am going to remove the suspension fork for a rigid, and get some lights. That should get me through the fall and winter.
Two to three every week (out of 12 in the "fleet" right now. The fleet is kind of inflated by recent flip bike acquisitions, will likely be down several bikes in the next few weeks...

Now? Maybe 2. About 3500 a year on the Lemond and 500 on the Cannondale.
-------------------------------------
Yesteryears? Maybe 3,000 on the lemond, 1,000 on the tandem and 1,000 offroad (Trek 8000)

I have two. One road bike that I get my "workouts" on and one comfort that I ride to work and general easy rides around town for errands.

My Schwinn Road bike get ridden 3-4 times per week now. My Huffy mtb gets ridden by me a couple of times a month to pull the bike trailer with my son or ride the occasional trail. My wife also rides one or the other a few times a month.

this year my;
felt z25 has about 1200 miles
soma smoothie es has about 750 miles
trek 7300 has about 700 miles.
hard to break it down by week. too many variables e.g. weather, purpose/location of ride, etc.

On average, all of them will get at least one ride during the week, cept for the snow bike, which only gets used when snow is on the roads. There are a lot of variables that might cause one to be used more or less during a given period. I'm just glad I have more than one to choose from. :D

I'm trying to keep my life simple. Currently need only 2 bikes, trail and road. Road bike gets most of the miles, but I will be on the trail tomorrow, so Trek gets dusted off.
Wow I haven't been here in a while. I just realized that sorry. Onto the topic now that I’m able to ride again it really depends on what’s going on that week and what the weather is like. It could be anywhere between 1 and 5 different bikes in a week.
I've got my 1979 fixed gear track bike that I ride a lot due to how great it feels and the simplicity of it, it's tough to have a derailleur malfunction when you don't have one in the first place, haha
When feel like riding a road bike I’ll take out my trek 1200, or if it’s a long touring type situation I’ll ride my trek 2120.
I’ve got an '86 Peugeot that I converted to be a fixed gear, which I use for grocery getting/beer runs/bad weather rides.
And if someone calls me and wants to hit the trails I take out the GT mountain bike.
There have been many weeks that I've taken them all out in one week, but there have been other weeks were I just rode one bike.
Kyle
I ride a redline conquest to work (built with rival)
I ride a salsa lacruz (built with RED) when I want to zoom around.
I ride an 80's mountain bike around my property
I occasionally make my son get off his rockhopper when dad wants to show him something.
I don't seem to ride my 80's bianchi tangent much anymore. I am thinking about putting some cx tires on it and trying the "skinny tire" off road thing.
Right now I just have my road bike--it's got a split personality in that sometimes it has a rack for commuting and sometimes it does tris and sometimes it does long distance (it has a first century coming up).
It's a Giant OCR1...I  it.
I've got a Giant Cypress that weighs a ton...I started out on it and still sometimes take it out where trails are not smooth.
What I'd really like are a touring bike and a cyclocross bike as well. :p
2 road, 2 mountain and 1 I haven't decide what to do with it (I bought it to make it a commuter). I had 3 more but finally decided they were taken up space and I sold them.

I ride the my mountain bike for commuting or recreational trips. Around the neighborhood I ride my BMX. Ten minutes of riding the bmx equals about an hour of riding...or so it seems.
I have just one :(
Working on remedying that though :)

last week i rode:
the commuter mon-wed
Road bike commute and ride thursday
back to commuter friday
road sat
XC (trail) sunday
It felt really good to hit all 3 in a week. Now that i commute that one is seeing alot of time and the roadie is feeling neglected. I make sure that throughout the week i bring an extra set of clothes so i can commute on the road bike at least one day. The XC bike is normally once every 2 weeks, but sometimes i go on a spree and take it out alot (esp in the winter)
next bikes i would like in the order i would like them
better road bike
a Freeride/ beefy all mountain (if i move some where with good places to ride)
tandem
A TT bike (really a dream, i can't see myself getting this far and buying so specific a bike esp if i have 2 road bikes at this point)
Recumbent (just kinda want to try it out)

In a week,three.
The new Moto CF I'll take on the fast rides with hills.
The 91 Paramount I use for the club rides that are more along 15/16 mph and 25-40 miles. I'll also take the Paramount is a far better high winds and wet weather bike.
The 92 GT I converted to a CityBike I use as the daily grocery getter/bank bike.
I have just one :(
And strangely I just bought a bike today, although sadly not for me :(
We took my (penniless student) brother in law round the local LBSes today to look at bikes, and I'm pleased to say that the bike he came home with was a heavily reduced 2008 Specialized Hardrock Sport. It's a birthday present from us and his mum, so it was nice that the bike he seemed to like best was one I've seen so many people here happy with and that I could easily recommend. Thanks guys.
Now I *really* want another bike...
I usually ride 2 during the week. Either my 07 Columbia Diamondback or my old Roadmaster Citybike (beater bike) for commutes. One weekends, I'll ride my 07 Edgewood Diamondback.
