he must either have great luck, or he's done something terrible to pay for his success.

whatever he is doing, it seems to be working.

Yep, it's all about luck with talentless hacks like himself and Robin Williams.

NBC, a network struggling with crappy shows, it shooting itself in the foot by putting him in the late night spot when they replace Jay with Conan.

Conan is ****ing awesome, but sticking Conan beside Kevin Eubanks and the rest of the assclowns at the Tonight Show would suck some inordinate amounts of ass.

Move Conan's entire show to the Tonight Show time slot, then you (NBC) are good. Then it won't matter how much Fallon chews.

I agree 100%. I might even watch it. Right now, I watch Letterman, either that or whatever is on the Food network.

Are they talking about doing that?

I would think Conan would threaten to quit if they tried to pull that. That would screw up his whole act, and require him to move to socal.

Plus, once Jay retires, or perhaps just starts doing more with cars, Kevin and all of them even if not funny are talented and will have no trouble just playing music, so I bet they wouldn't even want that. Wouldn't seem to make a bit of sense.

I thought he absolutely stole the show in the 19.3 seconds he was in Band of Brothers. I've never seen someone act so well, all the while driving a vintage WWII Jeep. Sheer genius what he did with that scene. Made the other 26 hours of the series seem utterly pedestrian by comparison.

As untalented as he is, the Bee Gee's spoof on SNL did make me laugh.

The same reason Jerry Seinfeld and Will Farrell made it -- it's the Hollywood exec's way of saying talent doesn't matter, he can MAKE a star!
