Nice! Much better than the old ones. I guess a nice new chainring really does make a difference.

It looks like the andel alien iro cranks just with a different chainring. which looks better than my iro chainring

Yeah the Soma ring looks nicer than the andel / alien ring. I don't think the IRO is the same - the ring mount at the spider is different. I wound up getting some lightly used Sugino 75s and one of the Mighty Comp wrong-side-machined chain rings instead.
how much is that? looks nice

I just can't ssee someone not going up to a stronglight or Sugino 75 etc if you are already spending that much. The cost bump from an Andel dosn't seem to be worth it...

Especially not when you could get an Andel, put a much nicer track chainring (75 chainring costs about $85, Dura-Ace around $100) onto it, flip the stock ring on craiglist for $15 and come out having spent maybe a few bucks more, but with a far superior setup. This is what I would do if I were in the market for a crankset. That or the Omniums, which I can get for wholesale +10-15% because I work at a co-op.

I was thinking about this, but the hellyer is $150, a sugino 75 is over $315 or so with the chainring, plus I'd have to get another bottom bracket for a total of $400 or so with shipping.
Not exactly a small jump.
getting it in silver, with the nicer chainring than the andel, plus with the option of 170mm arm lengths, which I want... might be worth it.
btw: if anyone knows if stronglights are still being sold with the non black chain ring in 170mm let me know, cause I can't seem to find them anywhere.
