I just started riding a couple of weeks ago (after 15 years!) and now am doing almost daily 20 mile easy rides on my 1990 or so Cannondale Road bike that I put straight bars on probably 15 years ago for a long forgotten reason. Probably going to put the original drop bars back on but one of the original brake levers is missing a piece and I do not have the hoods (I assume it came with hoods). I also have a 1984 Stumpjumper Sport that I took the straight bars off that I plan to get rideable soon. I cannot find the original stem or bars:(

I am 5'10", 220 lbs and love the way biking allows me to excercise and not have knee pain. (I used to run). Anyway, I hope my road bike holds up as money is real issue right now as I am unemployed. Not having a job gives me time to ride and incentive to ride for errands, etc. but does limit my budget for upgrades or a new bike.

This forum is a GREAT resource and I have learned so much very quickly.

Hello RV6X, definitely check in with the C & V forum--there's a sticky for ISO/WTB there, and it's entirely possible that any parts you need to keep both the bikes running could be obtained from the really nice folks there.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
