For the DC folks, I'm heading up to the W&OD and out to Purcellville tomorrow (starting in Burke). Total distance for me is about 95 miles, but if you get on the W&OD in Vienna it's about 80ish I'd guess?

I'll make it to the W&OD in Vienna between 6:45 and 7am, head out to Purcellville, stop for 10 minutes or so to fuel up and return back. Avg speed on the W&OD for the round trip is right ~20mph, but it'll might be a little slower for me this weekend after 4 hrs today and with 3-4 more hours to ride on Sunday. (Usually Saturday rides are after a recovery spin day, but today was a pretty hard SST ride inside the 4 hr total time)

Anyway, if you're looking for some long ride miles and want to sit on my wheel or ride along and chat, I'm game. Thought I'd toss out the invite.

20 mph on the w&od on the weekend is pretty optomistic dont you think? Perhaps this is early enough that you can get that type of room in the trail.

Vienna is around the 12-15 mile mark isnt it? That would make the r/t closer to 70 I think.

I actually have off work tomorrow for once but I am taking that rare opportunity to go on the 7am dc velo ride.

20 mph was based on the same ride I did two weeks ago.

Last week I did VO2 work on the way out, so my speeds were skewed

Distances are a little different, but depends on where I stop for food, etc..

I think two weeks ago I forgot to turn the CPU back on on the way back mebbe. I did that recently, but I forget when. Would explain the differences in distances.
