I was in the Brighton, MI area from Virginia to ride in the "One Helluva Ride" century on July 12th. While assembling my bike the night before the ride, I snapped one of the screws for the seat post clamp. (Yup, I lived up to my name......) This probably would have prevented me from riding in the century. I got to the shop, D&D Bicycles and Fitness, about 30 min before closing. Sean, I believe he's the manager, immediately attacked the problem. He drilled out the broken screw and repaired the seat post clamp. His efforts allowed me to ride in the event.

Many other shops would have said "Ooo.... tough luck" or "Sorry your gonna miss the ride" but Sean went the extra mile to make sure I was able to participate. Super customer service!!! I have been told by my bro-in-law (a regular @ the shop) that this is pretty much the norm there.

I just wanted to return the favor by giving them some good "word of mouth" advertising.

I don't live anywhere near the area but would like to thank you for giving the shop a thumbs up. It's always nice when the service department goes out of their way AND someone acknowledges their effort.

Wogsterca,
When you are 'back @ the beach' we'll do a ride. There are some nice peacefull roads through the farms / horse farms just south of the resort strip. Bring the camera........
