18" Big Dummy framesets are going into stock at our distributor as I write this. More 18" framesets, 22" framesets, and 16" framesets will arrive next week. 20" and more 22" framesets will arrive near the end of August/beginning of September.

They cost more now. $1050 is retail. Life is hard. It still costs less than a Hummer or a Prius.

when they say they will go fast they arnt kidding. I actually work at a shop and its going to be a challenge to get 3 18" frames. it sounds like they are limiting each shop to only 1 or two of similar sizes and it makes me sad cause me, jon and one of our customers are all wanting an 18" Time to sweet talk the other shops

I'm 6ft and ride a 58cm LHT. I fit comfortably on my 18" Big Dummy. I generally prefer big frames, but if you look at the BD specs the effective TT on each size is really long.

Effective TT:
- 18" BD = 596mm
- 58cm LHT = 586mm

Perhaps you can fit an 18" which will be out sooner?

Unfortunately the UK distro (where I am sourcing my frame from) was only able to offer 20" frames by the time I got around to ordering. I have sat on a bike with a TT length of 618mm with a 130mm stem and it didn't feel too big at all.

I don't really mind the extra wait. I don't have the money to finish off the bike entirely at the moment.

Speaking of sizing, I'm 6ft tall and ride a 58cm track bike (non surly) i will have to order a big dummy without being able to sit on one, seems the stores round here wont get any unless ordered. I'm thinking an 18" might be best, but i don't want to be too stretched out. has anyone else any sizing thoughts?

What kind of bars will you be using?

When I ordered mine, the shop had me come in and they took my measurements to figure out which size to order for me.

I'm getting albatross bars, a Rohloff 14-speed hub gear, and and hub generator light.

Well for one data point I'm 6ft tall [normally proportioned] and ride an 18" BD with Titec H-bars. The frame fits fine and I could ride with some MTB riser bars as well.

I also ride a 58cm LHT and find the 18" BD a good fit.

On the other hand, did they run out of 56CM sized crosschecks?
Most major online retailers don't have them anymore...
