for the threadless folk, what is your favorite stem?
which stems do you find to be most aesthetic?
do you like them long or short?
what angles do you prefer?

You can't go wrong with Thomson stem :) They looks great and work well.
I prefer it to be para to the ground, so 15degree drop for my bike.

for threadless, i''ll use anything. they're all pretty basic machines. i use a dimension stem, a 3TTT "the" stem, and a ritchey something-or-other.
angle varies based on my bike and my needs. the stems on my commuter and my road bike are parallel to the ground; my velodrome bike, the stem's got slight rise.
as far as use goes, i find four-bolt stems to be a bit of a pain. maybe they're stiffer, i don't know, but it makes changing handlebars a bit more of a pain.

agreed, on my track.
i have an itm MILLENIUM on my road basically because it's light long and was cheap for its quality.
i like the mutant but honestly i don't care that much. i just like thomson's captive steerer clamp design.

cinelli grammo. i ride the grammo pista (threaded), and it's the best stem i've ever owned. my heart broke when i realized it wouldn't work for my tri bike... going with a base bar that would work with the stem would compromise way too much. instead i went with the profile design X 1.5.
but if you can make this stem work with your bars, i highly recommend it. titanium madness, especially when climbing for long periods.

not 100% sure, but its 90mm so i think that would be kinda long for a bmx stem. its also noticeably lighter than my 3t mutant of the same length. i'll try to find out more.

Stem 1", clamp, 26mm?
There's a distinct lack of Thompson stems in this thread. Most of these are pretty stylish, but a Thompson is quality. Now, where can I find $120 for a stem... donations?

I think that Miche looking one is an Azonic shorty downhill stem. I've got one in black that's 75mm and I think they made a 100mm as well. They are super stiff and light.

Oh yeah, lots of room for cutting. I cut a little bump out so I can rest a cigarette on mine, no problems so far.
