I might be able to get a 2001 K2 Flyin Monkey for a little over $300 from a website (it would come in box and I would have to assemble it - or pay my local shop to do so...). Seems like a good deal to me, but this is really my first *real* mt. bike purchase. Wondering what you guys/gals thought...
O, and yes I have been to a bike shop and actually tried the bike out and liked the feel of it. However, the price there was $650. I realize the bike retails for a bit over $1000 but I think that is kind of inflated. I guess, as a cash strapped college student, I am just trying to get a good deal here.
