Road Cycling - ankle socks..

When it is warm,I appreciate wicking ankle socks..I have some thick lycra/wool blend for when it is cool..If it is really cool, I have a pair of toe covers to lessen the vents that are put into biking shoes.
I am particularily proud of my bike socks with beer steins on them...Considering the markings on bike socks,why would I wear regular socks.

No as we speak, so to speak; I am trying to delete. not sure how this reply got here...I was completing a poll about what kind of socks to wear with cycling shoes.... Or so I thought..Fingers must has fumbled on some wrong keys? One time I deleted a reply..Can't seem to find that function right now..Sorry...

Bulky tube socks are too bulky and hot for my road shoes.I like thin ankle socks as long as the weather is fairly warm..Do not like ankle socks other than when on the bike..
Just seem to be in the way.Don't need warm feet when hot.Road shoes are designed to breathe and tube socks are not compatable.. And by law cyclists, can be identified by dark tans extending down to the ankles..That is how we recognize one another at the beach.
NOw that the mistake has not been corrected guess this entry is no longer in the wrong thread...sorry.
One correction..I do wear my short ankle beer stein socks with tennis shoes. Only exception.
